from my observation, the section minimums are more problematic. students
may have passed the overall minimum, but having one section one or two
points short of the section minimum, and according to the current rule,
they do not meet the requirement. even if they retake the exam, passing
the overall minimum again but unfortunately missing one or two points in
another section, they do not meet the requirement too. this memoryless
process can continue and repeat with so many *concurrent* minimums. such
things did happen and encourage students to go somewhere else<\/p>\n\n\n\n
if the overall minimum is lowered from 90 to 86, at least the section
minimum can be reduced from 20 to 19—or even lower or eliminated to be
comparable to, and competitive with, other comparable institutions<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
