thanks to everyone who made a difference two weeks ago for the island, and also for the province. torquay won by <0.1% by june 29, 11:59pm (although the system still took new votes for a bit more than half an hour afterward
this morning, bcaa officially announced that both torquay and their inland partner (lillooet, who deserves a playground too) receive (up to) $100k for their revitalization for a "happy space," each. in addition, three runners up also receive $20k, each. more importantly, bcaa has a commitment to help others in future years too
thanks a lot to uvic communities, particularly uvss, ess and cscu students societies. you rocked for future!
ps: things make mistakes and technology has glitches; human integrity and corporate responsibility prevail overall!
